We are in the process of investigating the installation of electric vehicle charging points at Church Houses. In the meantime, we request that you do not use “granny chargers” as our insurance does not cover any damage caused or fire risk.
There are charging points nearby at Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside and Pickering.
Our newer cottages at Mill Farm do have EV charging points.
All of our cottages are now equipped with Nespresso machines. We supply a starter pack of pods, and if you would like to purchase additional pods these are available to collect from Farndale Store.
All of our cottages have both a fridge and a freezer (no larder fridges with a freezer box). They are either an under counter size, or free-standing fridge/freezer.
We provide all bedding. We provide a hand towel and bath towel for each guest and a kitchen towel and tea-towel. You may wish to bring more with you if you think you will need them.
Farndale Store in Low Mill in Farndale (YO62 7UY) is the nearest shop, selling essentials such as milk, fruit & vegetables, ready meals, Farndale Estate reared Beef & Pork, staple cooking ingredients, toiletries, gifts. There is also a wide selection of local gin, whiskey & beer as well as wine, prosecco & champagne. You can also purchase takeaway hot drinks, snacks, cake and ice creams.

There is a Co-op at Castleton (YO21 2DA) or the Co-op & Spar at Kirkbymoorside (YO62 6DG). Both are approximately 8 miles away.
Yes, there are a number of supermarkets who deliver to Farndale Estate Holiday Cottages, including Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Tesco and Waitrose.
If you are organising a delivery for your first evening, we would advise arranging it for after 6pm, just in case you get stuck in traffic.
