West Steading: Luxury Two Bedroom Holiday Cottage in North Yorkshire

West Steading

West Steading sleeps 4 and has a fantastic open plan kitchen and lounge with double height ceilings, exposed timber beams and log burner. Doors either side of the room open onto the outside area.

The two bedrooms are at the front of the cottage, one has an en-suite bathroom, and the other has an en-suite shower room, with a private staircase that leads up to the bedroom itself.

The lounge has a dining table which seats four, and the kitchen features an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.

There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility area downstairs.
At the front of the cottage is an enclosed south facing garden, complete with outdoor furniture.
Each room in the property has individually controlled under floor heating. There is free off street parking to the rear of the cottage. All rooms have TVs (Smart TV in lounge and freesat in bedrooms) and there is free Wi-Fi.

Bedrooms

There are two en-suite bedrooms.

New for 2023 – we have installed a new hypnos zip-link super king bed, meaning we can now provide either a super king and a king bedroom, or a twin and a king bedroom.

Outside

The south facing lawned garden can be accessed from the ground floor hallway and has recliner chairs and a picnic table for guests to enjoy the fantastic view, or dine outside.

Towels and bedding are included as standard

Please note: Maximum of two medium sized, well behaved, quiet dogs welcomed in this cottage. Pets must not be left unattended in the cottage unless they are happy to be caged (cage not provided) and are not likely to bark. We request that they are not allowed in bedrooms or on the furniture and that you pay an additional charge of £30 per dog.

Perfect location. Loved the

Perfect location. Loved the open plan living area, comfortable, very stylish and so well equipped. The spacious bedrooms are the star of the show in west Steading – The main bedroom has the wow factor , high beamed ceilings, comfortable beds and bathroom. And across the hallway it’s like the second bedroom is in its own wing with a separate stairway leading to the mezzanine bedroom. Would love to stay again.

We have just spent the

We have just spent the weekend in West Steading. This was our second visit. Beautiful property with all the comforts of home. Set in a great location. Top class accommodation and perfect for the 4 of us and our dog.
We will be returning as soon as we can.

We loved the location, beautiful views all around.
Our cottage was very nicely appointed, tastefully furnished and plenty of kitchen equipment. Nice welcome basket of local produce a lovely touch.
Very comfortable for our needs, also a few steps to the Feversham Arms , lovely welcome and good food .

A truly beautiful cottage in

A truly beautiful cottage in a stunning location – We booked for next year before the end of our holiday!!
Perfect for dogs, good sized garden (fully enclosed) – with a fantastic view.
Farndale Estates were very helpful – the batteries needed changing in a fire alarm, which they did very quickly (Thank you)
Great friendly little pub across the road for a drink and a hearty meal after a days’ walking (we ate there 3 times).

Exceeded our expectations, beautifully decorated and in a truly charming and peaceful location in the Dales. Spectacular view from our garden and great to sit out there with a coffee in the morning listening to and watching all the wildlife. Pub across the road was a bonus with friendly staff and nice food. Would definitely recommend the cottage.

Fantastic cottage in a wonderful

Fantastic cottage in a wonderful location with gorgeous walks and views from the garden; restorative and calming. We loved the interiors, very well designed and chosen. Beds super comfortable, and well stocked kitchen. The welcome basket was a lovely touch with local honey and apple juice. Local pub very friendly, happily did us a “takeaway” to eat in the garden, much easier for toddlers and dogs. All in all, we’re big fans and will be back!

Had a fabulous week in this lovely barn conversion. Beautiful location and surrounding scenery. The welcome hamper with local produce was a really nice touch. Plentiful logs for the wood burner, comfortable and spacious rooms and a nice sized garden to enjoy the sun (when it appeared!) and play with our dog who loved it! Lovely walks nearby and in the local area. Recommend the Moors Inn pub in Appleton le Moors a short drive away for fabulous food and ales. We hope to return!

A luxury cottage that was a part of former stable block which has been renovated to a exceptionally high standard.. In addition to the well appointed property there is a friendly pub almost at the bottom of the garden serving excellent food and beer. Great to also be able to do so many lovely walks straight from the cottage. Highly recommend.
