The stunningly converted old school house is a gorgeous open plan, studio style, one bedroom retreat for any couple wishing to get away from it all and enjoy the picturesque scenery of the North York Moors. A maximum of 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome at the property – and would be preferably caged overnight.

East View sleeps two and is a lavishly spacious cottage for a couple wishing to relax in a rural setting. The property has been modernised and decorated in a cool industrial look, with under floor heating throughout. There is a wood burning stove to curl up by on those cooler nights and a flat screen TV mounted above the fire place. The kitchen has all mod cons, including electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Outside

The cottage is surrounded by gardens, with an enclosed South facing lawned garden with terrace to the rear of the property.

Towels and bedding are included as standard

Please note: Maximum of two medium sized, well behaved, quiet dogs welcomed in this cottage. Dogs must not be left unattended in the cottage unless they are happy to be caged (cage not provided) and are not likely to bark. We request that they are not allowed on the furniture and that you pay an additional charge of £30 per dog.

Property was warm and welcoming, clean and tidy, extremely well appointed, everything you could possibly need. Lovely garden and wonderful views. So peaceful and relaxing. Good point to start walks on the moors. Highly recommended.

East View was well equipped and very clean, we enjoyed a wonderful week there. We loved the garden, fully enclosed with wonderful views of the dales and the occasional rabbit and red-legged partridge. The welcome pack was generous and very much appreciated.

We (husband, border collie and I) have stayed in a wide range of properties all over the country – Lake District, Scotland and Cornwall predominantly – over many years. This is our first time to Yorkshire and we can’t believe that we’ve missed this jewel of a county until now. East View is the best property we’ve stayed in for a whole number of reasons. The location is perfect; near enough local small towns/villages, well-resourced with all the shops, cafes and individual artisan outlets you could ever need, whilst still being situated within a picturesque hamlet with its own community store, brimming with high quality produce and a warm welcome. The views from the property are an ever changing series of big dramatic skies and a landscape of green rolling hills.
Everything in the property itself has been provided with attention to detail. No mismatched cutlery, crockery or utensils here; think John Lewis and Dualit. The property is pristine; as clean as you’d always hope places were but which often aren’t. The welcome box was a lovely touch and includes items from the local Farndale store. We will be coming back.

I stayed here for two

I stayed here just before Easter 2023. The location is stunning, right at the start of the Farndale Daffodil Trail in the tiny hamlet of Low Mill. The property is a converted school house and is beautifully appointed with a well equipped kitchen and a luxurious bathroom. The spacious interior has been beautifully designed, the antique brass bedstead is a real feature. Highly recommended.

East View gave my husband and I, ( and our two spaniels ) a perfect holiday. The accommodation was a joy to stay in and we loved the thoughtful welcome hamper. The location was ideal for walks in the stunning North York Moors National Park ( particularly the Rosedale Railway trail) and trips to Whitby and Dalby Forest.The inclosed garden was lovely to sit in and safe enough for our spaniels to watch the sheep in the next field without causing any problem. Wow! Another amazing stay at

Wow! Another amazing stay at East View! Such a comfortable and well equipped cottage. You could spend all day enjoying the amazing views! One of our favourite places and cannot wait to return again soon. So many walks to do around the area. We would recommend the Rosedale railway walk, Cleveland Way walks and a visit to the North Yorkshire Moors railway is a must. Sun always seems to shine when we visit this amazing county too!

The Old Tin School (East

Just spent a fantastic (red hot) week at East View. Spotted this gem whilst looking for quality properties that are dog friendly and it’s great, the property is clean, very clean for dog friendly and very well appointed. The old school has been totally refurbished inside with a tasteful fitted kitchen and bathroom with large tub and stand alone shower. it has a mix of modern and antique furniture, the brass bed is amazing but, if your on the short side you need a step to get into bed.
The property has an enclosed garden with large lawned area which is ideal for a dog. There is a patio area with picnic bench and wooden sun loungers and a large parking area easily big enough for two cars.
There are a few walks from Low Mill and there are a couple of Ordnance Survey books in the property showing these and meany more.
The north Yorkshire moors is a brilliant place to visit, good food and good pubs, happy days.

East view cottage had been

East view cottage had been a delight to spend our weeks holiday in the North York Moors. Very comfortable and so well appointed with everything provided that we could possibly need. The welcome pack was amazing and very well thought out – the basics and many other lovely items such as the local honey, bread, apple juice and mire. After a long journey this was really appreciated.

A great property in a beautiful location. The compact and open plan nature of the property is ideal for a couple, with all of the facilities and equipment that makes it easy (dishwasher, washing machine etc.). Walking and cycling from the doorstep is all lovely – with a pub at the end of one of the shorter (but very attractive) local walks. Whilst you’re remote from shops, the welcome pack gave us everything that we needed to settle ourselves and there’s plenty available within a short drive.

Fantastic accommodation… 5 star throughout.

Fantastic accommodation… 5 star throughout. Wonderful setting and views. Great location for us and 2 dogs with secure garden too. Very clean and a lovely nice welcome pack. Highly recommend this place. We also enjoyed Daffy Cafe, the Feversham Arms and a trip to Whitby and particularly Redcar which had a great spacious dog friendly beach.

Great find… lovely setting in

Great find… lovely setting in an ideal location for local walks and visiting other attractions around the area.
The accommodation was very comfortable for our stay and thank you for the welcome pack.
We enjoyed climbing Roseberry Tooping and visiting Robin Hood bay and the seals at Ravenscar. The local walk to the Daffy Caffy was a lively start to each day.
