Please note: Maximum of two medium sized, well behaved, quiet dogs welcomed in this cottage. Pets must not be left unattended in the cottage unless they are happy to be caged (cage not provided) and are not likely to bark. We request that they are not allowed in bedrooms or on the furniture and that you pay an additional charge of £30 per dog.

This is our 3rd time staying in Farndale, having previously stayed in West Steading & West View Cottage. We love it here up on the moors & will return soon. The Coach House is lovely, comfortable & well equipped & seeing the sheep over the fence when you open the blinds is always a surprise!

The Farndale Estate is a brilliant place to stay and all of the properties are beautifully done out and looked after. The North Yorkshire National Park is a wonder and the coast line glorious. I can’t think of a better place to holiday.

The cottage was well appointed

The cottage was well appointed and cosy with good size rooms for two. The bedroom was large with an extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom felt luxurious with a huge bath and lovely smelling toiletries. The kitchen had everything we needed. The welcome basket was full of delicious food which we appreciated. There were good walks from the cottage and fantastic views and wildlife. Would definitely recommend a stay.

We came here 9 years

We came here 9 years ago & stayed in the Coach House. We returned to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. The accommodation was just as warm,clean & cosy as it was then. The bed was very large & comfortable. The Feversham Arms across the road is very handy & provides excellent meals. We’ve had a lovely stay here & shall return soon.

This cottage and the little complex it sat within was beyond our expectations. Perfect in every way from the overall size to the quality of fittings and furnishings to the welcome basket. It had everything you could want to make your holiday perfect from having a washing machine and tumble dryer to the cozy blankets in the living room and bedroom to the games and jigsaws provided. Set in a great location for exploring the moors and a local pub across the road if you don’t want to cook.

We stayed at the Coach

We stayed at the Coach House for a week at the start of July.
Location is stunning and so peaceful with many walks right from the door. The cottage was beautifully furnished, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. It was one of the most comfortable cottages we’ve stayed in and we can’t wait to return. Grounds were very well kept, the garden was the best of all the cottages in Church Houses for evening sun and the staff we met were incredibly helpful and friendly.

Our 2nd stay at the

Our 2nd stay at the Coach house and everything was as good as we remembered. Comfy & cosy for us and our black lab Blue . We love the location – down in the valley away from everything . We walked the lanes every morning before breakfast. Enjoyed the hospitality of Rachael at the pub 10 paces from our door & loved the quaintness of the daffy caffy. It’s the perfect location for a get away with Runswick beach only 30 mins away. The valley and surrounding moors are stunning with lots to explore . We will be back.

Wonderful secluded location means the cottage is ideal if you would like a get away from it all break. Being dog friendly means your four legged friend is not left out and with your own garden area it means a safe area for them to run around in.
