We are in the process of investigating the installation of electric vehicle charging points at Church Houses. In the meantime, we request that you do not use “granny chargers” as our insurance does not cover any damage caused or fire risk.
There are charging points nearby at Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside and Pickering.
Our newer cottages at Mill Farm do have EV charging points.
All of our cottages have a cafetiere. With the exception of The Old Vicarage, we do not have coffee machines.
All of our cottages have both a fridge and a freezer (no larder fridges with a freezer box). They are either an under counter size, or free-standing fridge/freezer.
We provide all bedding. We provide a hand towel and bath towel for each guest and a kitchen towel and tea-towel. You may wish to bring more with you if you think you will need them.
Farndale Store opened this summer in Low Mill in Farndale (YO62 7UY) and is the nearest shop, selling essentials such as milk, vegetables, staple cooking ingredients, toiletries etc. Open Monday-Friday 8-6, Saturday 9-5, Sunday 11-5
There is a Co-op at Castleton (YO21 2DA) or the Co-op, Towlers newsagent and Spar at Kirkbymoorside (YO62 6DG). Both are approximately 8 miles away.
Yes, there are a number of supermarkets who deliver to Farndale Estate Holiday Cottages, including Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Tesco and Waitrose.
If you are organising a delivery for your first evening, we would advise arranging it for after 6pm, just in case you get stuck in traffic.
