Charmingly cosy, yet spacious The Old Vicarage is the jewel in the crown. A newly refurbished 6 bedroom house, sumptuously decorated with beautiful furnishings. 5 double en-suite bedrooms to sleep 10 adults and a bunk room which has full sized bunk beds which can sleep another 2 guests, provide the most amazing warm, yet elegant place to stay.

With stunning views down the dale and a large garden complete with stream, The Old Vicarage will not disappoint, with gorgeous sunsets and plenty of wildlife to watch.

The bedding is a luxurious 600 count Egyptian cotton, bath robes are provided, together with bath sheets and hand towels.

The fully equipped kitchen complete with electric AGA and separate oven and hob is ready for family meals, lazy Sunday breakfasts and overdue reunions, whilst the doors through to the conservatory and patio provide access to the table for twelve, barbeque, and chimineas. The perfect place to reflect on your day’s adventures as the sun sets, before snuggling up by the log burner on a cosy settee.

With underfloor heating,Wifi throughout, smart TVs and plenty of parking, The Old Vicarage provides a traditional base with all the modern essentials.

Our family gathered at The Old Vicarage to celebrate a Big Birthday. We had a marvellous week. The house is delightful. The garden and surroundings beautiful. The house is extremely well equipped and comfortable. Excellent kitchen. . A blip in Wi-Fi was dealt with extremely fast. Thoroughly recommend.

We loved the Old Vicarage from the moment we arrived at the property. It is a beautiful, well equipped and well appointed house in a stunning setting. The furnishings and décor are all very tasteful and totally in keeping with the property. The kitchen is well equipped with everything one needs for a large party or family group with dining room facilities to match. Having five good sized quality bedrooms all with ensuites is perfect and I am sure that the bunk room (which we didn’t use) would be fantastic for younger children. The wrap around garden is really beautiful and well maintained and makes for a superb setting for BBQs and al fresco dining. We were there during exceptional summer weather but I know the property would be equally accommodating during inclement weather or winter with a good book to read or playing games in front of the log burner. Finally, the location is stunning – a perfect location for walks on both the moors and in the valleys, all of which can be combined with great hostelries and wonderful Yorkshire hospitality and friendship. There is nothing not to like about the Old Vicarage and we would love to return one day,

We stayed in the old

We stayed in the old vicarage in Church Houses. A stunning property nestled in the heart of the Farndale valley with the most beautiful interiors. Surprised the house and garden hasn’t featured in World of Interiors! Also the most well stocked rental accommodation have ever stayed in! Couldn’t have been in a better location to enjoy the wonderful walks and beauty of the North Yorkshire moors.

We have had the most

We have had the most wonderful family holiday in Farndale. We had two properties both of which were fabulous. Everything we could possibly need was covered. The properties were characterful and spotlessly clean. The Old Vicarage garden is magical. Perfect in fact. In addition, the support from the Farndale Estate contacts is brilliant. I can’t praise them enough and hope we will get to go back sometime. The surprise was that there was so much to see and do so close to the area – from local walks to beaches like Filey, Castle Howard, Whitby, Scarborough, the North York Moors Railway and the Ryedale Folk Museum just down the moor in Hutton Le Hole. I’m so pleased we booked. Such happy memories after such a difficult year. Thank you.
